Underground, in the downstairs of Flatiron’s Patisserie Chanson, you can “satisfy your craving for a truly innovative and immersive after-dinner adventure with the Art of Dessert.”
Located at 20 W 23 Street, and open 6pm to 11:30pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, you’ll discover “a tailored dessert experience served in a former prohibition-era casino academy with provocatively modern interpretations of traditional patisserie.” The “tasting menus of personalized sweet and savory courses are complemented by seasonal handcrafted cocktails, a unique after-dinner drink collection, and an indulgent wine list.” You are up-close and personal with the artist, at the 16 seat bar which, “draws guests to the foot of Chef Rory’s [MacDonald] work table. With a focus on the beauty of isolated flavors, his creations illustrate the importance of clear design –supported by their accompaniment, but not masked by it.”
