The popular two-week fest, which just began (on Tuesday), “represents a range of ballet styles, from neo-classical to contemporary.”

Performances include:

Gemma Bond: With works that “use the formal aesthetics of ballet to examine human existence and the singular experience of daily connection.”

Emery LeCrone weaves fashion, live music and  choreography together, featuring costume collaborations with fashion designers. “This innovative evening of contemporary music, exquisite fashion, and unparalleled dancing is one not to be missed.”

Cirio Collective has 12 dancers and “approaches this season with a special focus on exploring the creative process with hopes that when artists live and work together closely, a special bond develops that inspires their art.”

Amy Seiwert and her contemporary ballet company, Imagery, present a ballet, set to Franz Schubert’s voice and piano cycle Winterreise whichexplores both internal and physical journeys… [T]he piece resonates with current times, investigating the power of modern myth and the Hero’s journey cycle. Imagery’s artists are ballet trained dancers who are critical thinkers, willing to leave their comfort zones and who delight in breaking preconceptions of ballet.”
