Meaningful Movies: The 5th Annual Chelsea Film Festival
Chelsea was recently the site for small screen screenings on the big screen – and now it’s time for unique big screen screenings on nearby big screens.
From October 19th to the 22nd, The 5th Annual Chelsea Film Festival showcases independent shorts, feature-length films and documentaries – and hosts networking mixers, Q&A sessions and panel conversations. A special “Women in Power” event has a panel discussing women in leadership positions, followed by a mixer.
“The Chelsea Film Festival is an international film festival, enlightening the work of emerging filmmakers, producers and actors. It offers a wide range of films, such as documentaries and feature-lengths, focusing on the theme of ‘Global Issues’.
It empowers the work of risk-taking storytellers and remains committed to its mission to discover and develop independent artists and audiences around the world.”
The festival’s vision is to “Make the World a Better Place”.
Notable events include:
A screening of “WOMAN” by Gloria Steinem – featuring a Q&A with VICELAND Executive Producers Ariel Wengroff and Amy Richards!
The First Annual Virtual Reality Competition, “dedicated to showcasing diverse and innovative work in the VR space. Experiences include works made by Women, People of Color and LGTBQ.”
“Climate Change Day“, on the final day of the festival, has panels, a cooking demo and virtual reality exhibition.
