New Experiences Await – at the New York International Children’s Film Festival
The New York International Children’s Film Festival is on now! It runs until March 18, 2018 – and it’s right near the Vanguard, for optimum convenience. (Cinépolis Chelsea and the SVA Theatre are the main venues.)
It takes place over the weekends and presents “the best new animation, live action, documentary, and experimental film from across the globe”.
See programing like: “Girls’ POV“ with stories that go against stereotypes and “go way beyond fairy tales of girls spinning straw into gold”, “Boys Beyond Boundaries” which likewise challenges the narrow way we imagine boys, opt for the spooky and strange in “Heebie Jeebies Shorts“, partake in “Friends & Neighbors: Mexico” which showcases “shorts that innovatively highlight Latin American culture and demonstrate that art has no borders”, and take a trip to a world way beyond this one, with the virtual reality projects at “VR Jr. – Experiences” that “place kids at the helm of their own immersive story world”.
Enjoy all the festival’s offerings!
